After applying for a spot, you will receive a response within 48 hours (working days) whether you have been granted a place or have been put on a waiting list – as well as information about paying the fee which must be covered within 48 hours of receiving the confirmation. Payment deferral may be granted with certain conditions, if applicable contact Idrettsrådet before the payment request deadline expires.
Please read the terms and conditions for booking a place at 1000TAKK 2026 below:
- The event is for children born 2013-2018
- The participation fee of kr.1 500 covers full participation in the event Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- The participation fee of kr.1 250 covers full participation in the event Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- There is no discounted price for participation within shorter time periods or fewer days in the week.
- There is a sibling discount of kr.500 per sibling.
- After receiving the payment request from Idrettsrådet Stavanger, there is a 48-hour deadline to pay the deductible for the event. If it is not paid within this time, the place may automatically be allocated to the next person on the waiting list
- Payment deferral may be granted with certain conditions, if applicable contact Idrettsrådet before the payment request deadline expires.
- Registration is binding
- No refunds on participation fees
- If your child has a diagnosis within a physical and/or cognitive disability, or requires assistance at school or actitivies, then this must be stated in the application for a spot. This so that Idrettsrådet can assess whether or not we are able to accommodate for this during the week in question.
Registration and the participation fee of kr.1 500 covers participation Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 4:00PM. The various sports clubs attend with their instructors from 10:00AM to 2:00PM each day. If you only want to participate during the activities with the sports instructors from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day, the fee is kr.1 250. There is a sibling discount of kr.500 per sibling. In the periods 08:00AM-10:00AM and 2:00PM-4:00PM, the children will have access to quieter activities such as board games, Lego, card games, drawing, etc., in addition to sports activities in the sports halls in the afternoons for those who still have a little more energy left.
Lunch is served every day, as well as access to fruit, included in the participation fee. In addition, everyone is given a personal drinking bottle on the first day.
Spaces for the 1000TAKK camps will be confirmed on a “first come, first served” basis

About 1000TAKK
Idrettsrådet via Idrettspatruljen, in collaboration with many sports teams and different sports, organized the event for the first time during the summer of 2020
Through the event, children and young people in different neighborhoods get to try both traditional and new exciting sports and activities.The instructors are active athletes from the various sports teams who showcase their sports with professional equipment.
The event was previously carried out with support from Stavanger Municipality, via the “Barnas Sommer” scheme in the years 2020-2024 and 1000TAKK has also previously received support from Bufdir and Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank, but as of 2025, a participation fee was introduced in order to be able to host the event.

Previously we have had the following sports at 1000TAKK and participating children will get to experience 10 or more of these per week – fekting, badminton, håndball, klatring, ju jitsu, judo, innebandy, dans, karate, volleyball, fotball, aikido, cricket, turn, basketball, pistolskyting, rugby, tennis, kickboxing og aktiviteter i regi av Idrettspatruljen! Det vil være både aktive utøvere og profesjonelle instruktører på arrangementet!

The event lasted 5 weeks in 8 sports halls, 5 days each week and from 8AM till 4PM each day. The sports halls were Rennesøyhallen, Gautesetehallen, Tastarustå Idrettshall, Kvernevikhallen, Stavanger Idrettshall, Hundvåghallen and Hetlandshallen.

The event lasted 5 weeks, 5 days each week and from 8AM till 4PM each day. The sports halls were Rennesøyhallen, Gautesetehallen, Tastarustå Idrettshall, Hundvåghallen and Hetlandshallen.

1000TAKK 2022
In 2022 Idrettsrådet Stavanger was granted funding from Stavanger Kommune, via Barnas Sommer, and Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank in order to expand the event and offer even more children various sporting activities during the summer. The event lasted 7 weeks, 5 days each week and between 8AM till 4PM each day.

1000TAKK 2021
In 2021 Idrettsrådet Stavanger’s grant from Stavanger kommune, via Barnas Sommer, doubled in size so that we could expand the event to offer more weeks and more children the opportunity to experience the various sports. The event expanded to cover all 8 weeks of the summer, 5 days a week and 8 hours each day (8AM-4PM). 19 sports clubs participated and more than 80 young instructors contributed with more than 1600 hours of sports instruction.

1000TAKK 2020
During the covid-19 pandemic, there was a lot of focus on homegrown holidays and activities for children and young people in the summer, following several closures for international leisure activities and travel. Idrettsrådet Stavanger, through Idrettspatruljen and in collaboration with 16 sports clubs, carried out 5 weeks of activities in municipal sports halls on Finnøy, Rennesøy, Hundvåg, Hillevåg and Tasta. With free registration, food, drinks and equipment, over 400 children and young people born between 2007-2012 were able to experience several different sports with professional equipment and enthusiastic instructors. Young athletes from the sports clubs acted as instructors at the event and were paid as a summer job.
