Idrettsrådet through Idrettspatruljen, in cooperation with several sports clubs and sports, hosted the first 1000TAKK event during the summer of 2020.
Children and youths are introduced to a large variety of sports and clubs throughout the city of Stavanger.
The instructors are young, active athletes from their respective sports demonstrating and instructing with the use of professional equipment.
The event was previously carried out with support from Stavanger Municipality, via the Barnas Sommer scheme during 2020-2024 and has previously also received support from Bufdir and Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank, but as of 2025 a participation has been introduced in order to be able to host the event.

1000TAKK
Idrettsrådet Stavanger continues to build on the annual event with 1000TAKK, but this year a participation fee is being introduced as the Barnas Sommer scheme was discontinued by Stavanger kommune in supporting free activities for children and youths.
For NOK 1,500, your children can participate in an exciting week filled with sports fun in the summer!
Previously, we have had the following sports at 1000TAKK and participants will get to try at least 10 of these during the week – fencing, badminton, handball, climbing, ju jitsu, judo, floorball, dance, karate, volleyball, football, aikido, cricket, gymnastics, basketball, pistol shooting, rugby, tennis, kickboxing and activities with Idrettspatruljen! The children get to meet active, young athletes who are instructors at the event!
1000TAKK 2025
The event is open to all children born within the years 2012 – 2017.
The children will be divided into their respective age groups and follow the same groups throughout the week with the sporting activities.

After registering, you will receive confirmation within 10 days whether your child has been allocated a place at the 1000TAKK event this summer or whether you are temporarily placed on a waiting list. At this time, information will also be sent out about paying the deductible for the event. Read the guidelines for deductibles below:
- The participation fee of NOK 1,500 covers full participation in the event Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There is no discounted price for participation within shorter time periods or fewer days in the week.
- After receiving the payment request from Idrettsrådet Stavanger, there is a 48-hour deadline to pay the deductible for the event. If it is not paid within this time, the place may automatically be allocated to the next person on the waiting list
- Registration is binding
- No refunds on participation fees
