Idrettsrådet through Idrettspatruljen, in cooperation with several sports clubs and sports, hosted the first 1000TAKK event during the summer of 2020.

Children and youths are introduced to a large variety of sports and clubs throughout the city of Stavanger.

The instructors are young, active athletes from their respective sports demonstrating and instructing with the use of professional equipment.

The event is made possible by the financial support from Stavanger Kommune through Barnas Sommer, which started in 2020.

Join us for a fun, exciting and diverse SPORTING SUMMER!

1000TAKK Following the success of 1000TAKK during the past summers; Stavanger Kommune has approved annual funding for Idrettsrådet Stavanger to create sporting enjoyment for the summers to come! Which means exciting sporting activities again for the next summer! 1000TAKK moves from one part of the city to another during the summer . When you apply for your child/children and are granted a spot they will be expected to partake in the sporting activities all 5 days during the week from 10:00-14:00. For those who require, we can also provide other activities during the hours of 08:00-10:00 and 14:00-16:00. Here the children will have access to more relaxed activities, such as board games, films, etc. with adults present. Each day the participants are served lunch and fruit. Application and participation is FREE OF CHARGE

CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: We aim to facilitate for children with special needs to participate at the 1000TAKK event wherever possible. In these cases, we require detailed information from the parents concerning what kind of physical and/or cognitive challenges the child has. We would then provide extra resources and assistances to aid the child through the week. Parents apply as per usual through the application forms, where there is an opportunity to provide this information. All applicants will be contacted following the application stage to determine whether we can provide a positive experience for the child.
